In just six months’ time, the Dental Hygienists Association of Australia (DHAA) is staging their National Symposium in Adelaide, featuring world renowned speakers and a range of workshops.
Registrations are now open for the two-and-a half-day event, from 12-14 October at Adelaide Convention Centre, where delegates can hear from presenters such as Professor Lakshman Samaranayake from Hong Kong who specialises in oral candidal infections, Professor Sharon Liberali who works in special needs dentistry and Professor Shirley Gutkowski, an industry leader from the USA in preventive and minimally invasive practice.
Topics will cover everything from forensic dentistry and reaching the vulnerable, to the oral health of baby boomers and challenges in obtaining consent for special needs dentistry patients.
A gala dinner at the National Wine Centre has also been planned as part of what the Symposium Adelaide organising committee promises will be their best Symposium yet.
