The nation’s largest healthcare tradeshow, the ADX18 Sydney dental exhibition, has selected the Australian Dental Research Foundation (ADRF) as its strategic partner. It’s a decision that’s been welcomed by stakeholders across the dental industry as a strong sign of support for early career researchers in Australia’s emerging health and medical research sector.

Convened biennially by the Australian Dental Industry Association (ADIA), ADX18 Sydney provides a strong platform to raise the profile of the ADRF and the research it funds.

“For ADIA, it was a natural decision to use ADX18 Sydney to strengthen the role of ADRF, the nation’s foremost funder of research into dental and oral health,” ADIA CEO Troy Williams said.

The announcement comes at an opportune time for ADRF as it sets about implementing new initiatives to strengthen already strong links with the dental community in order to provide long-term sustainable funding for dental and oral health care.

“For more than 40 years, ADRF has provided funding that’s allowed early career researchers to better understand ways to improve the oral health of all Australians. ADIA could not be happier that ADX18 Sydney offers an opportunity to strengthen this funding commitment,” Williams said.

As the ADX18 Sydney strategic partner, ADRF will benefit from increased exposure to all attending the event on 23-25 March at ICC Sydney.

“The ADIA team are really looking forward to helping raise the profile of the ADRF and the research it supports,” Williams added.

“This practical support ranges from increasing brand awareness to financial support, with everyone attending ADX18 Sydney being encouraged to make a gold coin donation to support the ADRF.”

There is a strong CPD program as a companion to ADX18 Sydney and the revenue raised from the sessions offered by industry will be donated to the ADRF to support ongoing research.
